Logistics - IT Developer (6 Month Project)

 

This role  would be suited to an individual with excellent IT skills who is process driven, analytical and has experience in database analytics, systems integration and programming and has a track record in delivering similar projects successfully.

 

Deliverables will involve a detailed data clean-up on the coding side of the stock management system, Microsoft  Dynamics GP, as well as developing new modules on the barcode scanning and pick list software system from Metz IT (scanning stock taking, GRN matching POs) module.

 

You would work as part of a team reporting to the Logistics Manager and would work closely with the IT developers from Metz Medic. Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

 

  • Data audit of existing system at item level

  • Mapping all items to match manufacturer codes

  • Mapping all items  to include unit of measure as priced unit of measure

  • Liaising with client to ensure uploads of new codes

  • Ensure all changes are mapped correctly to the secondary system

  • Development of new item setup form with client

  • Stock Take Barcode Scanning Module, testing and working with the client and developers to ensure that the system is fully functional, reliable and provides an output as required by the client (in beta already)

  • PO barcode scanning for GRNs               

  • Audit of all physical barcode labels to match system

  • Implementation of

  • Barcode audit & cross check with GP

  • Barcode label management

  • Audit all Expense GL codes on Metz

  • Develop suite of monthly KPIs from Metz system (pick per area, length of time,stock rotation)

  • Full implementation of PO Generator

  • Clearance of outstanding PO list

  • Implement online customer satisfaction surveys

 

Experience:

  • Experience in delivering similar type projects essential

  • Excellent IT skills required including database analytics and programming  and  the ability to learn and integrate new systems

  • Excellent skills in MS Office Excel 

  • Understanding of stock management and finance systems an advantage

  • Good people skills required

  • Team worker, ability to meet deadlines

  • Full clean driving license

 

Hours of work:    39 hours per week

Location:              Dublin Area 

Salary:                  Negotiable
