Logistics Operative (Healthcare Dublin)
Logistics Operative required to work within a medical logistics centre and a small team based in the Dublin Area
The logistics team provides a dedicated service to a nearby hospital (client) and manages the receipting, storage and delivery of stock and non-stock items between the logistics centre and the hospital.
This is a diverse role and would be suited to an individual with excellent IT skills who is process driven, analytical and has a desire to work and learn within a growing business.
The Logistics Operative would work as part of a team reporting to the Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Order picking
-
Goods receipting and put away
-
Internal IT system management and maintenance (training will be provided)

Barcode label management
-
Liaising with client procurement to advise purchasing volumes and stock holding levels

Cross docking of “non-stock” & consignment items
-
Maintenance of a live receipting environment. Ensuring GRNs, transfers and queries are closed out each day by COB
-
Ensuring that agreed stock levels in the hospital are available for service by ensuring min & max levels are accurate and updated and hanged as required

Analysing changes in usage of consumables in the hospital to change min & max levels as required

Stock-taking/inventory checking, in line with clients requests

Ensuring that site quality and hygiene standards are met

Driving the logistics vans, with and without goods, between the client site and the logistics centre
Experience:
-
3rd Level qualification in warehousing/logistics preferable

Strong general IT skills required including the ability to learn and integrate new systems

Excellent skills in MS Office particularly Excel

Understanding of stock management and finance systems an advantage

Experience with Internal/external warehousing & distribution

Experience in working cross-functionally within a business

Good people skills required

Team worker, ability to meet deadlines

Experience working in healthcare an advantage

Full clean driving license
Hours of work: 39 hours per week
